Wooden Leaf
Installation | 2023
A Wooden Leaf is an exploration of form and fabrication—where computational design orchestrates structure, and human craftsmanship breathes life, allowing material and time to shape its evolution.

Suspended in perpetual motion, the form captures a leaf caught mid-flight—its curvature dictated by computational logic, its tactility shaped by human intervention. The interplay of precision and imperfection renders it neither static nor transient, but a liminal presence that exists between nature’s organic rhythms and the exactitude of fabrication.
The composition follows a parametric logic—each wooden fragment aligned through a generative process, yet finalized by hand, embracing the nuances of material behavior. The result is a self-supporting structure where the sum of its parts generates a continuous, undulating profile, resisting conventional assembly to create a seamless spatial experience.

Time becomes an active participant in its materiality. The surface matures, deepening in character as it weathers, inscribing its own history onto the grain. This evolving patina reinforces the work’s conceptual framework—an artifact not of fixed perfection but of perpetual transformation, echoing the transience of natural systems.
