Naaz School for Disabled Students

The school has been passionately conceieved by a joint effort of Round Table India and Blind People's Association to provide eductaion to the specially abled students. 

 

The idea here was to create an inward looking plan with a central courtyard as the main focal point. The facades are designed to provide natural light and ventilation throughout the year. 

 

The design of access within the building is given a huge amount of importance with well designed ramps and circulation spaces. Surfaces have been designed carefully to have different textures indicating a particular area for the assistance of blind  students. 

 

Although the school is currently being built as a single storey but the design can easily accomodate expansion in form of addition of floors.
